Burger Bytes

Posted by: DT : Category: Reat & Write

Ladies and gentlemen, we have a revolution on our hands. And our ports!

Open Sesame: Hamburger Flash Drive (@ )

With flash drive burgers you can take as many bytes as you like without ever getting fat! As a matter of fact, they can actually help you take the data weight right off your system. And if you ever feel like putting it on again you can do that too. If that’s not a revolution than I don’t know what is!?

But wait, it gets even better. This USB fast food is sticky but makes no mess. That’s right. And while your hamburger flash drive is in use, the buns get toasty and the cheese slightly melted. Also, if a single patty of 1GB doesn’t satisfy you, you can super-size it up to 8GB. And since the beef is already grounded you don’t need to worry about short-circuiting your system.

What else could you ask for? So let’s be a good seat potato, use the drive in and beef up your machine with hamburger memory sticks…

Boot in a Flash

Posted by: DT : Category: Cool Means

Ever heard of bootable flash drives ?
They provide a real good alternative for starting up error-laden computers.

You can make one yourself by following one of the many internet instructions, assuming you have some technical knowledge and enough time on your hands. Or you can go with the easier option and buy flash drives already equipped with the proper boot files. In most cases these files are protected so you can’t accidentally erase them or have them compromised. Unlike what might have happened on your computer. To make them work, all you have to do is set the BIOS to the drive letter of your memory stick and booting up your system should work like a charm.

You can find USB boot sticks for a variety of operating systems such as Fedora or Linux based systems like Puppy and Ubuntu. Some even come with the complete desktop program which means you can run your whole computer on them. If you’re wondering about the big guy now here’s the deal: Microsoft StartKey.

Keeping a key profile: Windows Flash Drive (check )

or ( )

It’s not just a bootable Windows flash drive but also an entire profile and settings saver. Basically you can transport your Windows without taxing your arms. Only your pockets may suffer some strain. The catch: It’s not out yet. It actually should have been late last year but when the release is now nobody seems to know. So, until then one has to resort to the various guidelines on the net to configure memory sticks with an MS boot sector. Or to just switching operating systems.

Just The Beginning

Posted by: DT : Category: Writing This Blog

It’s been two months now that I started this blog and boy, has it been a ride already. I had no idea that the world of memory sticks would be that vast and entertaining. As a matter of fact, everytime I load my front page Magic Memory and scan over the listings I’m amazed to see yet another flash drive type new to me. It never ends!

Shocked And Overwhelmed Computer User

When the Internet overwhelms you…

So I find myself saying “Oh man, does that mean I have to post another category and article again?” Well, not necessarily. To prove my point, I just went on there and the very first listing surprised me with the picture of a naked african-american woman. Yes, it was for a flash drive but what the image had to do with it I have no idea! As you’re probably curious now I will link to the store here but I can’t guarantee that it’s still around while you’re reading this. Who knows, maybe it’s showing on the front page again though I don’t hope so. Because I’m really not sure if this entices readers to stay in or stay out…what’cha say?

Anyway, while at first running a blog like this seems to get over your head – especially in the beginning – it also pushes you to keep on. After all, isn’t learning and growth what makes life worthwhile? And it’s not like these new discoveries are boring and lame…I mean, see above! It actually proves to me that I picked the right subject for my site. Why? Because I always rant about how people need to be open minded and constantly expand their consciousness in order to be in harmony with an infinite universe. It assures positive evolution on a personal level as well as a society. And why not through a picture of someone naked? I certainly could think of worse things.

So, how fitting and ironic that I find myself writing this blog to ensure I follow my own philosophy. That was not what I had originally intended to do but I guess that’s jut the great way life works. And don’t get me wrong – while my first and foremost goal was to create an ebay affiliate blog, I never wanted to do it “thinly” and only for the commissions I might get. After all it’s supposed to be a blog! And with that comes the expression of passion and an outlet for creativity. I guess I’m just overwhelmed at the amount of work that has sprung up from it all. But then again, challenges are what keeps us afloat. Aren’t they?
