DT´s Flash Drive Blog

To kick off our series on Super Talent flash drives, we will first showcase what’s probably the most elegant and capable model. The aptly named Luxio.

Class with Style: Super Talent Luxio (@ )

or ( )

First of all, Super Talent has been around for 20 years after it was birthed by the Silicon Valley boom. They’re specialized in memory technology and all their flash drives pride themselves on certain standards. Luxio memory sticks make no exception and this is what they are:

- Compatibility with U SB 1.0 and 2.0.
- LED indicator for power and activity.
- Hot plug & play.
- Keychain hole.
- A data retention of more than 10 years .
- Lifetime warranty.

Then we have the specifics which mark Luxio’s individuality:

- The design of wood grain, silver or black.
- The capacities of 16, 32, 64 and 128GB.
- Support for password protection and ReadyBoost .
- Erases data after five failed password attempts .
- The economic size of 21 x 76.50 x 9.50 mm.
- A neat leather carrying case.

What makes Luxio flash drives really special though is the 256-bit advanced encryption standard (AES-256) and their fast transfer rate. Operating with a dual channel flash memory, the reading speed is 30MB/sec (200x) while the writing speed is 16 MB/sec. Talk about swiftness!

So if you ask me, these memory sticks definitely have the makings of a super talent and justify their hint of luxury. Don’t you agree?

p.s.: I actually used to think that Luxio was the manufacturer and SuperTalent the specific brand product. But as you can see, it’s actually the other way around. So don’t feel bad if you made the same mistake…now you know better!

Like they say, dogs stick with you no matter what.
And they’re also known to shag a lot. Humping dog flash drives for instance have an affinity for computers.

They don’t make great watchdogs but they make great dogs to be watched. Because when you plug them in they actually do…well, the moving. And luckily for your computer it doesn’t have to be in one boring position only – because humping dog memory sticks are quite flexible .

So if your machine likes it fast – how about a Husky?

No? Well, maybe your laptop actually likes it spotty.
Then why don’t you go for the Dalmatian flash drive?

Here you can see him in action:

Ah I see, you’re computer is more the exotic type. Then maybe a Shiba would do?

Ohhhh, that’s all not rough enough? Well, there’s also Rottweilers and Dobermans!

If you can’t decide at all, how about all of them. There certainly wouldn’t be any complaint about monotony then or would there? One could actually set up a competition to see which breed sticks it out the longest. (*ahem*)

Unfortunately or fortunately , USB humping dogs don’t actually engage in data procreation because they have no memory inside. So they’re only for shags ‘n’ giggles. But you know how quickly that can get out of hand, right? So when setting these jolly flash drives free it may be a good idea to put a warning sign at the front of your workplace or house: Beware of the dog!

Instead of gobbling USB hamburgers perhaps you’d like to relish some fruit?
Then these del.icio.us strawberry flash drives are for you.

Once plugged into your computer it may cherish them so much that essentially, you find it clutching at strawberries. And let’s be honest: who doesn’t like a memory sticked strawberry kiss? So as it’s hard to pick them again you may want to try a carrying strap through a hole on the tip to pull it lose.

‘Biofresh’ Strawberry Memory Stick (@ )

Most USB strawberries have green leaves and come with a plastic feel to them. But depending on where they’re grown, the ir size can vary between 1 and 8GB. And for those of your who like certified organic traffic there’s also a biofresh species. So plug away without any stress as strawberry flash drives do the work for you. Sweet, ain’t it?
